Ross Andrews + Associates has extensive experience in the planning and design of mixed-use developments. Typically, corporate office buildings and complexes have comprised a major part of these master plans often in addition to retail, entertainment and hospitality components. This interactive mix of uses differs from the typical isolated suburban office center in many important ways. Hours of operation are often expanded to include evening and sometimes 24-hour periods making the night time experience as important as that of daylight hours. Shared resources including parking and other site-wide amenities often play multiple roles in the project and must be designed to work for different user groups under a variety of circumstances. Exterior hardscape and landscape areas are not only ornamental, they are intensively organized and utilized components of the master plan.
